I instantly fell in love with this hip hopping little fellow.

This quirky squirrel is Pits Qimirpik at his best.

Look at the deep furrows on his back, tail tucked between his legs. At first glance, this carving is comical but this piece is also multifaceted.

The bright green eyes, the white "buck" teeth, and his arms and legs moving in all directions as he moves to the beat! His furrowed eyebrows give him a look of intense determination.

The jet black stone allows all the features of our squirrel to shine.  Don't you want to get up and dance?

Did you know that hip-hop and rap is very popular among the Inuit youth?

I love the pattern of fur on his back. and on his tummy. This is Pits at work. He always goes beyond what is necessary and carves the unexpected.

He carves delightfulness in his sculptures.

Pits is renowned for his hares and his dogs.  TD Bank has one of his rabbits in their large Indigenous art collection.

This passionate hip-hopper is the perfect gift.  Everyone would love to own this piece of sunshine.
