Mini Masterpiece! Magnificent Movement!
I love the enthusiasm of this sweet Diving bear,
He looks like he is parachuting, swirling and dipping at full speed.
The stone colour is dramatic; deep green black with freckles of sunny torquoise scattered throughout the sculpture.
The facial features are beautifully detailed by Pootoogook.
Small sculptures are more difficult to carve and a diving bear which must balance on one paw is exceedingly difficult.
I'm Flying! shows off Moe's amazing talent.
This carving would be an adored gift for Mother or Father's day.
