This is another one of Kakee's Walking bears from his series of three carvings which we acquired recently.

Each of the three bears have unusual physical features.  The shape of the head, the large wideset ears and the long legs have a canine quality along with the usual bear characteristics.

You may disagree with me on this but what I appreciate about Kakee's three bears is the thought they provoke. These sculptures are not carved as classic realistic bears.

Kakee has stepped outside the box.
