This is a stunning jet black owl made by Inuit artist Joe Ippak from Sanikiluaq Nunuvut.

What I like about this owl is the signature Sanikiluaq argillite stone it is made from. The beautiful wavy stripes riding against the dark stone give an added depth to the piece, This owl is done with a beautiful dark polish, and high intensity smooth finish.
