People have a fascination for small objects d’art.

The intricacy of small works intrigue and mystify us.

Peter masterfully crafts these Hunter/Sled scenes. This particular piece has the Hunter with his leashed dog and a plump seal leading the entourage.

Peter's scenes are a favourite among my clients and you can see why.

First, look at the love Peter has put into this carving.  Each figure is carved from a different stone and the colours are best suited to each piece. 

The white dog with the black patches, the light caramel coloured seal and the Inuk with his brown boots and parka and his grey/white leggings demonstrate K's determination to carve as realistically as possible. 

Add in all the accessories like the dog's leash, and the rifle and its scabbard and the story begins to develop.  

What do you think is happening? 

Is the Inuk holding back his dog to let the happy go lucky seal have a chance to escape, OR is the Inuk about to unleash the dog so the inevitable can happen?
