Magnificent Carving! Museum Quality Sculpture!
The Ermine is an Arctic Weasel whose winter coat was long prized by monarchs and aristocrats.
Ermine fur has a long history as a symbol of nobility and luxury in Europe and Britain.
In medieval times, the white with black flecked winter fur was primarily worn by the Nobility to show their wealth and status.
Indeed, from the 14th century to the early 1700s, furs, lace and luxury fabrics were restricted by law to Royalty, Aristocracy and the Clergy!
Long and slim, Walter is low to the ground and somewhat lanky like all weasels.
Kelly loves to push the envelope.
He loves to explore many different animal subjects.
His work is always fresh and invigorated!
