These innocent caribou antler men are small and endearing.
In decades gone by, the Inuit carved very small figures of light weight material like caribou antler.
These small pieces were cheaper to ship by mail (a mail ship) and were less likely to break than stone!
My clients love these groups of the Inuit version of "stick men" swinging by their arms, with their "hands" clinging to the overhead bar.
They have very gentle faces which seem to be peaceful and calm.
Lukie has left us with this joyful carving which would brighten the darkest day.
