Masterpiece Carving! Rare Red Tongue!

Jimmy Iqaluq is one of Canada's select group of Inuit Elite Master carvers!

He has been carving for at least 50 years!

His SIGNATURE piece is his magnificent Loon.

No artist in the world out does Jimmy's Loons.

BUT the special touch in all his pieces are Red eyes!

When you see a carving with protuberant red eyes, 99.9% of the time it has been carved by Jimmy.

For a very special treat, Jimmy will sometimes adorn a loon with red legs and feet.

We are particularly honoured to present Chevron.

This stunning Iqaluq Walking bear is decorated with thin strips along his lower back which reminds me of military stripes or chevrons.

Such an unusual pattern!

Jimmy has bestowed upon Chevron a red tongue!

You MUST look into his mouth.

The longer you look, the more realistic the mouth becomes!

The teeth are teeny tiny but perfect! And did you notice the teeth in the upper jaw?
How did he carve those teeth and then place them so perfectly?

The tongue is rolled up at the edges and touches the roof of the mouth.....JUST LIKE A REAL TONGUE!

Jimmy is so incredibly talented, I don't think there is anything he couldn't accomplish.

Jimmy finds the red stone on the seashore near his childhood home and uses it for his "special effects".

Chevron is all bear, stretched out in stride so we can admire his muscular form, his magnificent head and his Red tongue.

A red tongued bear is very uncommon, and we just happen to have two of them!
