I never tire of Sam Qiatsuk's energetic owls.

His owls are typically positioned with their long wings held vertically over their head.

Are they landing OR are they about to take flight?

OR are they in a perpetual state of surprise?

The large white inlaid eyes and the beak dominate Hooty's face.  

I love his incredibly strong legs and his large exaggerated feet. 

To me, it seems like Hooty has just put down his landing gear and has arrived safely and on time!
