This is a one of Qimirpik's larger owls which rarely get carved.
This is Qimirpik's finest representations of his famous owl. The gorgeous grey stone reflects to a mirror shine. This owl is especially perfectly rounded and symmetrical. The best I have ever seen him do to date.
The tenuous embroidery and visages of Qimirpik's owls have rendered his craft as the epitome of the highest order of Inuit art. Qimirpik's work is to be celebrated among the avant-garde circles of Inuit art. Solo works and publications by him have been adopted and praised worldwide.
This is a masterful owl by Canada's most world renowned artists for owls - Pits Qimirpik. Pits Qimirpik has numerous prize winning pieces on an international scale. His works can be found in Canada's national art collection in Ottawa.
