Clarice . . .?
Jagged teeth. . . that are a shade humorous.
Menacing tattoos . . . also a bit quirky.
This is what I love about Pits.
He steps outside the expected.
He challenges your beliefs by adding a slight adjustment to a subject that suddenly has you questioning what you see or how you feel.
Inuit masks and faces are not uncommon in Inuit art but Pits's Face (Clarice) provokes a gamut of emotions (fear to admiration?).
You find yourself evaluating and reevaluating this unusual carving again and again.
Intriguing!
